  1. Dear Focus on the Family, While I was driving to church last Sun. I heard your program on the radio, talking about dealing with problems in marriage and how other couples can mentor and help a couple work through their trials in the marriage. Thank God for your program! I’m writing in behalf of my son and daughter-in-law, whose marriage is literally hanging by a thread. My daughter-in-law and I have been praying together that her marriage would be healed and that my son would commit his life to our Lord. My son “feels” that he can’t even pray and that God doesn’t care. He knows better because he was walking with God at a time in his life, but has strayed, and he was brought up in the word knowing that God is faithful and a God who does care.

I won’t go into details, but this is a couple who definitely needs some counseling (although, because of my son being out of work, it’s not affordable) and they need help working through problems. We’re praying for God to convict my son, but in the mean time, there is stress in the home, affecting my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, who is at a critical age of twelve years old. He needs his dad, and parents who show their love to each other, not hearing bickering everyday. My daughter-in-law is at her wit’s end, although she’s doing her best to lean on God and we agree that God is in control.

My question is, would there be any couples that would be willing to mentor them? My son and daughter-in-law live in Medford, MA. which is about fifteen minutes from Boston, MA. As a mom, my heart’s desire is to see this marriage healed, and this couple serving God, together. I’m praying that you can help them with your mentoring program.

Thank you for reading my comments and I will look forward to hearing from you, and please pray for Jeff and Susan. God Bless, A concerned mom
