I am a married man with 2 kids. We are currently going on separation with my wife because I found out she was cheating on me with another WOMAN; I lost my temper and I hit her. Because of her abusive past, my wife can’t forgive me for hitting her regardless of the reason and therefore wants a divorce.
I am asking for prayers for God to re-direct my wife’s (Ireen) path of adultery. I am asking for prayers for God to change me, and show me his principles and how I can apply them to my situation. I am requesting for Prayers for my wife to forgive me.
Praying for forgiveness and repentance for all of you and that all of you seek God. Also praying that all of the issues are brought to light and properly dealt with and not just put to the side for the sake of the marriage. May you and your wife both submit to God’s will and proceed under His leading.
Please pray for me and my husband. He is depressed and anxious and our marriage is struggling. Please pray that I can find strength to help him and be patient.
Praying that the two of you will weather this storm together and whatever is causing the angst will actually serve as a catalyst to help you two talk more, be more open and grow in intimacy. Praying that what seems like a bad situation is turned to good and blesses your marriage.
Please pray for my husband and I. We have been married almost 17 years. We have 3 high school age children at home. My husband has physically and emotionally abandoned us. He says he loves us and says he is going to come see us but never follows through on his word. We all miss him terribly. He is a workaholic and an alcoholic. I am sad for my children that their father is doing this to them. Pray that my husband will soften his heart and seek Jesus. I know that is the only thing that will save our marriage. Pray for my strength to not give up yet and please pray for my children’s hearts.
Praying that your husband will realize he needs a Savior and nothing he needs to feed his spirit will be found in alcohol or working like crazy. May he seek help in overcoming his battles with alcoholism and workaholism. Also praying that you and your children will trust God with him as well as with all of you – not give up hope and to live your lives to the fullest.
Please dear Heavenly Father, help my husband to stop seeing his affair partner and rejoin me in rebuilding our marriage. Please give me hope and lessen my discouragement.
Praying that your husband will end his affair, repent and work to rebuild and rekindle your love. May you continue to fight for your marriage and not give up and may your husband join you in the fight against the true enemy. Praying that both of you will grow closer to God and each other and that this season of difficulty will be your past and I’ve you there strength to endure and reap the blessings of a brighter future.
Please pray for my husband, he is waiting to hear about a job he interviewed for. He’s perfect for the position and we really need this, even just to improve his (and in turn our) quality of life. The job he has now provides for us financially but his stress level is consistently high. I pray that God helps all involved to make the best decision and I pray that this turns out to be something very positive for him. Please Lord, Amen.
Praying that your husband is blessed with a job that allows him to have a better work life/home life balance …and until that day, he manages his stress level and work load as best he can with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Please Lord, help my husband. He didn’t get the job he thought was a sure thing, but please help him to keep his faith in you and to know it’s all in your gracious hands. He is hurting so badly right now….help him to know you’re near. And help me to help him. Please Lord, I pray.
Praying that your husband manages his disappointment and keeps trusting God for something better, yet does not stop being grateful for the job he does have. May he persevere- doing what he can with God’s help until he’s blessed/rewarded with a new job/assignment. May you not grow weary in supporting him, but also be refreshed and see God at work.
Hello my name is Ciara, I’ll be 34 in 7 days. I desire to be married. I’ve been praying for a husband for years. I’m lonely and desire companionship. I’m not fornicating and trying to really live right. The loneliness has become unbearable lately. I’ve spent many years alone. Will you please pray that my prayers for a husband will be answered soon? I don’t know what else I could do.
Praying that you will meet the husband God has for you in the near future and know without a doubt that he is the man God has for you. May you continue to be faithful and trust God while waiting for your husband.
My prayer is for my husband’s salvation. He was going to our non-denominational church (Calvary Chapel) for almost 2 years until March 15, 2020 when he fell into false religion through his dominating older sister and her now fiancé introducing him to doctrines of demons, and the legalism and anxiety of being perfect to follow this religion has been extremely draining on our marriage and our children are impacted by his emotional abuse.
I’m praying that God’s Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ penetrates through the thick darkness of this man-made religion he is now submerged in and he has all strongholds that attracted and encouraged him to come into agreement with the doctrines of this false religion to be eradicated in the precious name of Jesus Christ. My husband needs to give up and REPENT of his idolatry of pleasing his older sister and come to the REAL Jesus Christ.
Praying that your husband will see the emptiness and lies of this religion and leave this belief system behind. Praying that he’ll embrace Jesus, repent of his sins and live in a way that will bless your family and eventually draw his sister, her fiancé snd others to want to know more about Christ and surrender their lives as well.
My daughter is going through a very abusive marriage (children are present), but yet he is very prominent in the community, so of course, no one can believe he is abusive. She needs so many prayers and help. Her father and I tell her that she and the children need to leave and have opened our home to them as a safe haven. She feels she can’t divorce him as this would destroy his career (medicine). It hurts our hearts to see this happening and we are so mad at this person because of the treatment he gives our daughter.
No man, EVER, should lay a hurtful hand on his wife or children! Please pray for our daughter (and even for her husband, who needs so much help and prayers). Would love to see this marriage mend and become so strong, but only by God’s help can this happen, so we need powerful prayers! Thank you.
Praying that your daughter will trust God to give her the courage and strength to keep herself and your grandchildren safe from the physical and emotional abuse. That she won’t feel bound to suffer to protect his career and image and that you and her father remain supportive but not overwhelming. May she know that she can always come to you. Also praying for her husband to get the help he needs to control his anger/emotions and deal with the underlying issues. May he surrender his heart and life to Christ and find that he is a changed man. In time as he heals as well as she and children, may they live as on and raise their family in a manner that honors God.
Please pray for my husband Felix for salvation and healing in our marriage also deliverance from alcohol. His family in Mexico told him to divorce me because I can’t have children anymore; I’m older. It’s devastating news. I have been with him 12 yrs. I can’t sleep. Pray for our LORD to remove the confusion in his heart and work a miracle in his life. Pray he’d show love, compassion, respect, and kindness, towards me. Thank you for praying.
Praying that your husband will be delivered from alcohol (and get help if need be). Also praying that his love for you will overwhelm him and he will love you as he should and trust God with your future. May he establish appropriate boundaries with his family and in time may the two of you enjoy the family God has for you.
My husband and I are newlyweds…friends for 13 yrs, romantically involved for 6+ yrs, married 1 yr (in 2 wks). There is a lot of resentment and bitterness that I have in my heart towards him. We’ve had some epic fights. I have responded harshly to his behavior and an emotional immaturity not address when it appeared dating. I am walled off. I feel like he is doing the same things and I am unable to break the response.
I say I forgive but I am still hurting. I really love him but I am disappointed in where we are in our relationship. He is trying to make changes but there is a cycle of engagement that isn’t right and not what God wants for us. I miss the man I feel in love with and the non-angry person I was. Please pray for our marriage, blended family, and our hearts.
Praying that the two of you will work together to make your marriage into something awesome- may you find the support and encouragement you need to do so, be it through counseling or another godly couple that serves as mentors. Also praying that you will confront the issues, resolve them and keep growing. May you both grow closer to God and in turn closer to each other and form a bond that can’t be broken.
Please pray for reconciliation between me and my wife, and me and my son. Please Lord save our marriage and our family.
Praying that you will see God at work in your life, your wife’s life and your son- that you will all come together again and live as a married couple and family. May you continue to persevere and trust that God is working in Kate’s life and on her heart. And may you continue to trust God with your children and not grow weary in your fight. May you reap the blessings of being faithful to God, your vows/marriage and being a father.
Hi, Please pray for me as I am going through a tough time. My husband (Pastor) left me for another woman (Pastor) and he divorced me, stating all lies about me. This very difficult for me.
Praying that with time you will be able to let go of the hurt and pain and be filled with joy and peace- continue to let God know how much your heart hurts, your fears and all that you experienced because of your marriage and trust Him to provide you with comfort and support and send/give you others that will support you through this. Trust God for better and know that through His power and grace, you will forgive and keep moving forward.
Please pray for my marriage. It’s under attack from the enemy seeking to destroy a 15 years marriage with 3 young kids. I’m holding on in prayer for my wife. Please pray for restoration, emotional walls to come down, restoration of trust, depression, hurts and unforgiveness and that faith in Christ will be rekindled. Pray as you feel led for us; I need help to intercede for our marriage. – Joe
Praying that your marriage will be revived and that you and your wife will find the support system you need to strengthen your marriage, be it counseling or another couple to walk with and mentor you. Praying that you will both see God at work in your lives and marriage and take advantage of the help He provides so that you can stand against the attacks of the enemy. May you both find that you’re a team and stronger together …that your love is worth protecting and continues to grow for one for another. Continue to fight and trust God- your prayers are making a difference.
I am a married man with 3 daughters and a lovely wife. I have screwed up my family so much I’m heart broken. We have been married over 17 yrs and my wife asked for me to give her some room. We still live together but separate beds at the moment. I have been very verbally abusive to my wife and also have had issues with stress causing me to vent my anger at times and had used slaps on my children when there was shouting back towards me.
My wife is afraid of my anger; rightly so. She no longer trusts me and wants to protect herself and my daughters of the unknown I might do. I’m a self employed contractor and love working. I find freedom in my work. I have always controlled everything around me including my wife for all our marriage. I need help changing my entire life focus. I have been a Christian all my life yet I’m not able to have empathy or love.
My wife is a Nurse Practitioner, works daily and does all my books for my business plus does all the tech stuff for my family. I have been very unappreciative towards her for all she does. It’s like I don’t know how to Love or give any compliment to anyone. I have not invested in my marriage as a husband and into my daughters as a father. My father was also one to just work and never praise anything his children did.
I’m praying for a break thru into my soul that I can become a new man the way God intends husbands and fathers to lead. Thank you for your writings; it’s given me hope in doing the right thing. I’m trying to get in to see a therapist or some program to get me the knowledge and correct tools for this change to happen in me.
Praying that you will continue to be persistent and follow through on letting God change your heart and mind as you work with a therapist to develop new ways of coping, communicating and expressing love while controlling and dissipating your anger. Also praying that your wife and daughters are able to forgive you and work patiently with you to restore your marriage and family life. May you give them the same grace and encouragement that you wish to receive from them. Congratulations for recognizing the problem and taking steps to be part of the solution.
