My husband doesn’t talk about our marriage and he never wants intimacy. He never touches me, hugs me or anything. There is nothing wrong with the way I look. I look fine. We cannot talk about money or bills, he gets really upset and he holds resentment toward me because of bills and thinks the bills we have together are my fault. This has been going on now for more than 4 years. I am at the end sometimes and have deep loneliness.

I’ve prayed a lot out of the book, “The Power of A Praying Wife.” My prayers are not answered. Sometimes they are in little ways but it still never changes and it’s not enough. I wish he would be the sweet and patient person I married. He is cold and hard to me and won’t look at me. He doesn’t feel sorry for me when I tell him I’m hurting. I wish I had someone to talk to. I’m seeking counseling at church. He won’t go. I don’t know what to do.

We do laugh a lot and he teases me and he likes to talk about politics and the news and he loves to go shopping but our marriage is not a normal marriage. We don’t live together as husband and wife because there is no intimacy. He does put his arm around me during sleep but that is all. I want more but he doesn’t and he’s never interested. I feel very hurt and rejected by him and I’m not special to him. I’m surprised I could ever be married like this.

He doesn’t have any passion or talk about how he feels about me or give me a compliment. He criticizes me and worries about money and bills. My feelings don’t seem to be a concern to him at all. I don’t know what I could do to show more love to him -I already do what I’m supposed to and I’ve done a lot so I don’t know what that would be? Nothing works.
