P.U.S.H. = Pray Until Something Happens!

PUSH Pray Until Something Happens AdobeStock_68995369We encourage you to PRAY… Pray that God will help you and give you the strength you need as you face trials The following is something that we pray will inspire and encourage you on this matter.

Pray and P.U.S.H.

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with bright light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man He had work for him to do. He showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This, the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down with his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin. He was sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Pray Despite Signs of Discouragement

Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man’s weary mind. “You’ve been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t budged. Why kill yourself over this? You’re never going to move it.” Thus, this gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

“Why kill myself over this?” he thought. “I’ll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that’ll be good enough.”

And that’s just what he planned to do. That is until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

“Lord” he said, “I’ve labored long and hard in Your service. I’ve been putting all my strength to do that, which You’ve asked. Yet, after all this time, I haven’t even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What’s wrong? Why am I failing?”

The Lord’s Response as We Pray

The Lord responded compassionately.

“My friend, when I asked you to serve Me —you accepted. I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you’ve done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me —with your strength spent, thinking that you’ve failed. But is that really so?”

“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscular. Your back sinew is mighty. Plus, your hands are callused from the constant pressure. And your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you’ve grown much and your abilities now surpass that ,which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push. You were to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you’ve done. I, my friend, will now move the rock.”

At times, when we hear from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants. What God ACTUALLY wants is just simple OBEDIENCE and FAITH IN HIM. He also wants us to trust Him and:

PRAY

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains. But know that it’s still God who moves the mountains. So:

  1. Please pray for me and my husband. We have been together for 30 years. We were 15 yrs of age when we started dating. He is the only man that I have ever loved and been with. He was a great father to our kids and a good husband. It was just little things that I neglected to do that has caused this storm in my life. He has filed for divorce and and he is presently seeing someone else. I am so… heartbroken and I can slowly feel depression sneaking upon me. This has got to be one of the hardest things that I jave ever had to endure.I don’t care to eat and I barely sleep at night and i have cut off communication and and even leaving the house. I pray to God 24/7 to bring him back home. I pray for him as well as myself.

I know that all things work on Gods time and not ours but I’m to a point to where I don’t know what else to do. Its so hard to have faith and stay positive when you don’t see a change happening. I don’t want to give up on God I have got to learn to trust him. The devil can be so tricky at times and put all types of thoughts in your head like God’s not going to send him back or he don’t hear my prayers when I know he does. Please help me to pray that God will soften his heart and send him back home and to help be to endure this turbulence I’m going through. In Jesus name I pray Amen

    1. Praying for restoration in your marriage. Just continue to pray for him and take care of yourself. Find a support group in your area that can help you through this.

      God bless!

  2. My name is Hope from Uganda. I was looking for a site on which I can find prayers to strengthen relationships and I landed here. PUSH is the only solution to every thing…the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing.

As a parent from whom his child keeps asking for something each single day the same thing…
eventually the parent decides to give the child what she/he keeps asking for each single in order to rest. That’s how it is also with us and God…we are his children, ask God what you and if it’s not given yet…keep asking for it each single time you talk to God and eventually he will grant it. Pray without ceasing and you shall receive in Christs name… AMEN.

  3. God, its been 3 weeks now since my boyfriend broke up with me and I can’t cope with the fact that we’re no longer together because I still love him and need him back into my life. Please Lord hear my cry and prayers as I beg you to please bring him back to me, wipe the tears that roll down my face and turn my misery into happiness as you lead him back into my life again. I beg you Lord in the mighty name of Jesus to please bring me back the love of my life, the one I want to marry and start a family with. Please Lord answer my prayers.

Children of God please pray for me and my ex boyfriend to reunite. I love him so much. May the good Lord bless you all. AMEN AND AMEN.

  4. Thanks for the above teaching story, but for me, I am left not even a little strength to pray now because I am 32 years old now and I have been praying for a husband for 8 years but no man has even ever dated me. I sometimes feel ashamed of even thinking I am a virgin at my age with no hope because I have never heard from God. Please pray for me because if I am to remain single for life then I should know and learn how to live with being hurt by sexual desires and family psychological torture. Thank you.

  5. Pray for me and my husband to reunite that God will turn things around and that he may change my husband heart and mind that he may love me like Christ loved the church. Pray that he will have eyes for me and me only, that his family will free him so he can be a husband to me and a step father to my children. And pray that we will follow God’s order and that God will give us a church for both of us but to worship him together and that God will get all the glory. God work a miracle and we ork like lightning. In Jesus name, amen.

  6. Please pray for me that I would get him back. I love my guy so much but I’ve lost him now and we don’t talk. I really want to be with him again. I love this guy a lot. Please Lord, help me. I love him truly.

  7. I was feeling really down and came across this inspiring site. When everything seem dark and without hope God is there to make the path bright. I’ve been in a painful relationship that only God knows why He placed me there and I’m asking God for my boyfriend to commit and be my husband. I really love him and I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

    1. Dear sister, our God is almighty God; everything is in His control. Nothing is out of his control. He is our loving God who loves us more than anybody in the world, who seeks and is working everything for our good. Therefore seek God and God’s will. You will not be disappointed. Read the Bible and pray earnestly, and receive your answer from God.

  8. Hello, asking you pray for me and my friend; we are in a relationship but it’s a bondage that he needs to walk away from so we can finally be happy. Asking you to pray for deliverance and strength and for the Lord to free him now. Lord, he needs you to step in.

  9. Okay, my dilemma is that my former supervisor is not a Christian and everything is wrong with him and I have not seen him in almost a year! And now I cannot get the man out of mind and the woman he sleeps with and lives with is at my job, so I see her there too! I pray and pray for release of this man- what am I doing wrong? I had no relationship with this guy at all – just a stupid crush! I want to be released from this pathetic fantasy. I am now praying for him because I don’t know what else to pray for.

  10. After my husband has been unfaithful he decides he doesn’t want to be married anymore. Please pray that he will forgive himself and for restoration of our marriage.

  11. PUSH – it is a great option. I am Richard, my age is 31 and while my parents seeking found a good hearted, honest person for my life partner who is 26. We like each other lot, but suddenly their parents showing objection from last two weeks acting very harshly on her.None of her family members are speaking well to her. She is very sad on her mind, and I too believed God showed a correct person in my life. I am too confused of this. Please pray for us.

  12. My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over 3 months. I will say that we rushed into it and I am completely head over heels. About 2 weeks ago he decided to slow it down and go back to just dating to really get to know one another and to try and find that spark once again. Prior to this he would always talk about us getting married and having kids together. Even now when he talks about future plans he always includes me in them all. I pray everyday for our relationship to continue to endure and surpass this little hiccup. Deep down in my heart I know that he is my match. Please pray with me so that one day we can both be on the same page with our feelings and emotions towards each other and not be tempted with temptations outside of our relationship. Pray for our future together. Thank you!!

  13. I’m so glad I found this page. Please help pray for all, especially children and elderly. I want to renew my faith to be able to help others to tell them God is real and they only have patience and strength. Also keep our youth in prayers as these are very critical times with acceptances.

  14. Please pray for my spouse and I. We’ve been having some serious trying times and I don’t want to give up on what we could be. It hasn’t been long since we’ve been together but it’s something that we can work out together. I think he has a lot of demons clouding his judgement and I want this prayer not only to be for us but for him as well. He’s neglected to do things in our relationship; however I do believe he loves me but realized things aren’t as perfect as they seemed when in a relationship. Please watch over us in our situation. We really need this. Thank you!
