P.U.S.H. = Pray Until Something Happens!

PUSH Pray Until Something Happens AdobeStock_68995369We encourage you to PRAY… Pray that God will help you and give you the strength you need as you face trials The following is something that we pray will inspire and encourage you on this matter.

Pray and P.U.S.H.

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with bright light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man He had work for him to do. He showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This, the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down with his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin. He was sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Pray Despite Signs of Discouragement

Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man’s weary mind. “You’ve been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t budged. Why kill yourself over this? You’re never going to move it.” Thus, this gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

“Why kill myself over this?” he thought. “I’ll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that’ll be good enough.”

And that’s just what he planned to do. That is until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

“Lord” he said, “I’ve labored long and hard in Your service. I’ve been putting all my strength to do that, which You’ve asked. Yet, after all this time, I haven’t even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What’s wrong? Why am I failing?”

The Lord’s Response as We Pray

The Lord responded compassionately.

“My friend, when I asked you to serve Me —you accepted. I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you’ve done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me —with your strength spent, thinking that you’ve failed. But is that really so?”

“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscular. Your back sinew is mighty. Plus, your hands are callused from the constant pressure. And your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you’ve grown much and your abilities now surpass that ,which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push. You were to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you’ve done. I, my friend, will now move the rock.”

At times, when we hear from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants. What God ACTUALLY wants is just simple OBEDIENCE and FAITH IN HIM. He also wants us to trust Him and:

PRAY

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains. But know that it’s still God who moves the mountains. So:

  5. Hi my name is Phoebe. I’ve been with my partner for almost 4 years together now. I just recently found out that he’s going out with another woman. I don’t want to have a broken family since I’m giving birth this coming November with our second baby. Help my partner to enlighten his mind that he’s chosing the wrong path. I’m having a hard time because of this but I have my faith in God.

  6. Pls pray for us, my husband has run away. we have 2 kids and I know he’s not thinking right at this moment. I hope that we’re going to talk about what’s gone wrong with our relationship. He doesn’t want to save and fight our family anymore. I need a prayer, like prayers that move mountains. I’m all alone with our kids and with my disability (polio), but I can still walk – barely. For almost 13 yrs. I trusted him and gave my all and living that I dont have disability. Please pray for us. Thank you very much.

That your children will have their father(s) back. That any sicknesses will be healed. I decree and declare that all things shall come together for our good…That we shall pass the tests that are placed upon us.

  7. Please, I need prayer for my ex to get together with me. Please God, you know everything. He’s now marrying another girl. Please make him understand my worth and sincerity towards him. I’m waiting for a miracle God, for him to understand and accept me as his wife. I’ve lost hope and leave everything to you God, as I love him and cannot live without him. Please bring him back to be my loyal, loving, comitted husband in the future.

I need prayer for the children that are in my custody. I need prayer to heal our hurt. I need prayer to better our worst days. I need prayer to be able to forgive and recover from it all. I need prayer to heal our home and finances. I need prayer to bring our house out of foreclosure. I need prayer for a better career and well paying job. I need prayer…….

  9. Two months ago, my boyfriend and I broke up. Our relationship was just 3 months and took each other like a crash course. He literally was my best-friend for 4 years. We had a falling out over the “excuse” of his daughter. I acknowledge my fault for using poor choiced words. I regret my decision but he is just as wrong as I am.

I tried talking to him shortly after moving out. He completely cut all communication off with me. I recently wrote him a letter, which he never responded nor had I expected he would. Indeed I hope he thinks about all I said as he is dating a women his junior. Her style is not what I would expect him to choose. My depression has been triggered by this outcome. I felt in my heart he was the one when we started to finally give each other a chance. I trusted him that his love for me was authentic and I was truly different. I feel as fast as we moved that’s as fast as we ended.

He seemed to be such a compassionate person. He was always there for me in the 4 years. He cared for me but yet I was involved in a toxic 13.5 year relationship, which left me emotionally unavailable to the world as I feel again. I feel back at square one. My heartache seems worse dating such a short time. I lost my best friend and boyfriend. He truly was the best to me emotionally and financially. I was grateful for him everyday.

I hope God will restore us, touch his heart, and put us in each other’s path, lifelong. I pray that God’s will and my will are meant to be. I pray God will grace us both with a newly restored profound love for each other. I pray for God to give me the strength I need as I am emotionally so disconnected from life and unhappy. I pray God helps me understand the treasure in this. I pray for the person reading this that God restores your will and grants you blessings. I learned when you’re angry sometimes it’s just better to walk away until calmness has set in to settle matters.

Please Lord, help me to be strong moving forward. Please send me signs Lord, that you hear me and are with me. I need you Lord. Thank you Jesus. Patience is growth. Amen.

  10. Hi, please add me to your prayer group and sessions. I have been in an intimate relationahip with this guy for 3 years. He treats me very hurtful. He promised to marry me but he withdrew his words this year. He even told me that he is unable to have kids anymore. He is my hope. Please help me with prayer to overcome this situation. I really need a man who will be able to make me feel happy and who is ready to make me the mother of his children.

  11. I’ve been praying. I feel completely drained but I’ll continue to push. Please help push… sigh.

  12. Please pray for me and my husband Carlos. He is a cheating liar, holding back money from me now. He is getting angry wanting to hit me. After 7 years of marriage it is at a rough stage. I have two children.

  13. Please pray for me. My boyfriend broke up with me two years ago because I was unfaithful to him. He was a nice person and tried to draw me closer to Christ but I was just too stubborn. After we broke up, I went on to date with someone else whom I realized didn’t want to hear about Christ and I realized the mistake I had made, and so I left him. A few days ago, my ex came back, the one that had been trying to draw me closer to God, it was a reunion with mixed feelings as I realised that I hurt him even though I knew we were soulmates but now he just wants to be friends and this is making me very unhappy as I want a reconciliation.

  14. I ask for prayers from my prayer warriors. In November my husband didn’t come home one night. When I confronted him, he cussed and told me it was over, that I waited too long (8 months) to join him in another town. But I was waiting on our daughter to get out of school. He then said he didn’t love me anymore and had moved on. After some searching I found that the night he didn’t come home, he had met another woman. And in that one night I assume they bonded. Now let me say she is separated from her husband too. He will not answer my calls or text. I just don’t know what to do from here, except pray and keep faith. Thank you for your help.
