P.U.S.H. = Pray Until Something Happens!

PUSH Pray Until Something Happens AdobeStock_68995369We encourage you to PRAY… Pray that God will help you and give you the strength you need as you face trials The following is something that we pray will inspire and encourage you on this matter.

Pray and P.U.S.H.

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with bright light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man He had work for him to do. He showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This, the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down with his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin. He was sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Pray Despite Signs of Discouragement

Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man’s weary mind. “You’ve been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t budged. Why kill yourself over this? You’re never going to move it.” Thus, this gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

“Why kill myself over this?” he thought. “I’ll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that’ll be good enough.”

And that’s just what he planned to do. That is until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

“Lord” he said, “I’ve labored long and hard in Your service. I’ve been putting all my strength to do that, which You’ve asked. Yet, after all this time, I haven’t even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What’s wrong? Why am I failing?”

The Lord’s Response as We Pray

The Lord responded compassionately.

“My friend, when I asked you to serve Me —you accepted. I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you’ve done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me —with your strength spent, thinking that you’ve failed. But is that really so?”

“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscular. Your back sinew is mighty. Plus, your hands are callused from the constant pressure. And your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you’ve grown much and your abilities now surpass that ,which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push. You were to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you’ve done. I, my friend, will now move the rock.”

At times, when we hear from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants. What God ACTUALLY wants is just simple OBEDIENCE and FAITH IN HIM. He also wants us to trust Him and:

PRAY

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains. But know that it’s still God who moves the mountains. So:

  1. Hello everyone. I’ve been dealing with this young man for 4 years. We haven’t officially said we were broke up but he has moved in with another lady and they have had a child together. Despite all of that we still hang out together and love on each other as if we never parted. I spend time with his kids and they still call me as well as I have recently spent time with his 4 mo old daughter. I ask that you pray for us to get back together for we still love and tell each other that we love one another. I have no intentions of hurting the other lady but I do want my man back. Pray that he becomes the man I need him to be and for us to fall deeply back in love with one another where we become one force together. Please and thank you, in Jesus name, amen.

    1. Latanya, Just so you’re clear… this is not a faithful man. He cheated on you, and is now cheating on this woman with you (even though he was with you originally). Most of all, he is cheating on his children by being a player. You need to wake up and realize what type of man you are praying you will be “one force together” with… someone who is playing games on both sides of the fence. Again, he is a player. He wants what he wants the way he wants it, and obviously, he’s getting it and you are being hurt, and the kids are being cheated on in the meantime. Is this the type of man you think God would want to choose for you? Please consider this as you pray and talk to the Lord. Make sure you listen as you pray, so your will lines up with God’s.

  2. I need prayers for my husband and I. We are in a bad spot. He doesn’t know if he wants to stay together and all I want is to be married to him forever. Please help him to come home. And please help me to forgive and release my anger. Please help him to release his guilt. Please pray for us. Thank you.

  3. Please pray for my wayward wife to return to God and family; quit the drugs, online dating sites and remember what she left and come back to me.

  4. Please God, I want to marry again with love of my life but he doesn’t want to marry me due to his family issues and because of my status. Help me God, ask him to marry me. He loves me a lot, if there was no society he would have stayed with me forever. I love him like crazy and it breaks my heart thinking about how his parents are pushing him to see other girls for marriage and I am scared that he would choose a beautiful girl and stay happily ever after. But I will be dead. I can never be happy ever again. Please God please help me.

  5. Please pray for me and my marriage. Husband left me for much younger woman. He’s been in relationship with her for five years. Pray that they will end relationship and our marriage will be restored.

  6. I’m a 32 year old unmarried girl. God please help me to get my love Prashant back. I love him a lot from my heart. I can’t live without him. I’m praying that me (Punam) and Prashant will come together and our both parents should accept our love and getting to our marriage and long lasting life. I am asking for a miracle that my relationship of plans with Prashant and Punam be renewed. I don’t know why he has pulled away. My heart is very sad and I shed many tears about him.

I was hoping this man would be my husband by the end of this year. My heart is open, my mind is receptive to receive your miracle. I do not end this with Prashant today that you are working to bring us closer together and our love stronger. I am so alone sad and would like to stop the tears. May a miracle come upon me and fill me with the feeling of security with this man joy and a stronger love between us.

  7. I pray that all of you guys seek reconciliation and that God brings back the people you guys love and cherish. I too am in the same boat as the love of my life fought on our 2 year anniversary that caused us to break up. She came back two times but her heart and mind are still stubborn. She is a good woman but I feel like the devil is drifting her towards him. She parties and stays out late. She is falling behind in school and when she was with me, I made sure she focused on school and her life. She never went out late with me but is now hanging out with the wrong people.

I ask for you guys to pray for me as well. My ultimate wish is reconciliation but I have surrendered and left it in the Lord’s hands. Still praying until something happens. But it’s our Lord’s problem now. I was a great man to her, was ready to propose, but she just compares me, is jealous, started lying to me, and emotionally abused her. But I forgive her because that’s what our Lord teaches. Surrender people, give it to the Lord, and let him fight your battles. God bless.

  8. My boyfriend had cheated, has been verbally abusive and continues to tell me why we don’t work and shouldn’t be together because our lifestyles are different. Yet over all the things he said and has done he does not leave my side. I recently lost my apartment where we both lived and been staying in a hotel and he stays with me every night. He has other places he can go to such as his mom’s house or other people’s houses but he chooses to come stay with me every night.

He tells me he loves me but then tries to fight against the fact and say we just are not right for each other. I know he needs some healing but I feel right now he is so lost and consumed in the evilness of this world that he can’t see what’s going on. I just need prayer for him to heal his heart help him regain control of his life and fight off all the demons he’s dealing with and please heal his heart towards me so he can stop putting up a fight and just start loving me the correct way I deserve to be loved. I love him and I’m willing to do anything possible to make this work.

  9. I come to ask a prayer for my sister, she’s looking for a nice man to be her husband and get married. May God who gave Eve to Adam be merciful and give my sister her miracle and wonderful marriage that only HE can give. Amen.

  10. Hi, My name is Joe. I am 35 years and want to get married to a woman who has a pure heart, compatible and also will love me unconditionally. I have prayed about it all to no avail. By the way I have never dated any woman before, neither have I taken a girlfriend before. I am still a virgin. I need a woman who will help me make heaven. Can someone pray with me?

    1. Joseph, have you been praying to have God show you what you need to do to become the kind of man He wants you to be for the woman he is preparing for you? We have a lot of articles in the For Married Men section that illuminate the issue on what God calls us husbands to be for our wives. You may want to start there and ask God to show you more ways to grow in your walk with Him in preparation for your future. If you wanted to be a doctor you wouldn’t just walk into a doctors office and start practicing medicine. You’d have to commit yourself to studying HARD for many years and go through rigorous training first. So, why do we think God should just drop a woman (His daughter) into our laps and have us become a husband without any preparation? You’re still a young man and I encourage you to start studying so you can begin to understand the complexities of being a husband – one that honors God in the marriage…and continue to “wait on the Lord” because rarely is our timing His timing. Blessings, Brother! ~ Steve Wright

  11. Please pray for me and my husband Raymond, that he please comes home. God, I’m begging you to please bring him home Lord, in your name all things are possible; please God. Please fix our marriage, Lord, please. I love you Jesus and in your name. I love you and this I pray, Amen.

    1. Kimberly, I know you hurt and you want your family to be intact. I get that. But God has a plan, and it is a good plan. I would pray that you have the strength to go through this fire to get through to the other side. Ask God what changes you need to make in order to serve him better. Put God first and trust in his plan. Trust that he knows what he is doing. Ask him to show you what changes you need to make, work on that first.

Pray for your husband’s salvation and ask God speak to him. Pray for God’s will to be done in your life, his good and perfect will. Release your marriage to God’s hands, He knows what he is doing. Trust God. Pray for your husband’s salvation and that he turns to God First. You have been called for a purpose. It will not be easy and it will not be fun. But it will be worth it. You need to stand fast and ask God for his perfect will. I can not tell you your husband will come home tomorrow, as God sees more than we do. But I can tell you that if you trust in God and ask him to do what he needs to do in order restore your life, he will. I do not know how and I do not know what that looks like, but God will never put you to shame.

Praise him and do not lose faith in his power. The main thing is to understand that this is where you should be right now. God has it all under control. I will pray for you Kimberly that you can hear God’s instructions and you can be joyful in your trial knowing God has called you for this very purpose. Stay Strong and praise his holy works, and you will see the Glory of God.

      1. Thank you so much. It really hurts but I understand God has a plan for me and it’s not for me to question his plan.

  12. Ruby my wife filed for a divorce after 35 years of marriage. She has been away for 2 months taking care of her mother. She wants half of my pension fund and joint estate. I pray that God will change her mind and heart.

  13. I’ve been praying and praying. I finally see a breakthrough, which I should be joyful for because it’s what I’ve been asking for. So why do I all of a sudden feel down?

  14. Please pray for me. I want my ex boyfriend back, Gacha. I pray day and night Lord, to please hear me cry for him. Please bring him bck to me. Please Lord please; I’m crying.

    1. HI Reneilwe! I really know how do you feel because I am in the same position right now. If I may ask, how are you doing now? Is your boyfriend back? How are you managing your broken heart?

  15. I’m asking God for reconciliation between my ex boyfriend and myself… if it’s his will & let his will be done. I know this sounds crazy but I’m thankful for the breakup bc it allowed me to see the things I was doing wrong but most importantly it drew me back to God. Somehow, I left God out the relationship with my selfish thoughts of only wanting what I thought I needed. We definitely have our issues but I think he’s good for me bc he makes me want be better woman, help mate and spiritual leader.

It’s weird how this breakup hasn’t caused me a lot anxiety like in the past bc I see the need to work on myself at this time bc it’s needed. I ask God to heal our hearts from our past, give us peace of mind, put in us forgiving & loving spirit… a mind of clarity to understand the lesson. I also, ask that God come inside our relationship. In Jesus Name with The Blood of Jesus, Amen.
